How we calculate this
- Resin oz = mixed × resin parts / (resin + hardener parts)
- Hardener oz = mixed × hardener parts / total parts
- Material cost = mixed oz × price per oz + pigment
Example
Example: 12 oz of a 2:1 system
8 oz resin and 4 oz hardener. At $1.40 per mixed ounce, material is $16.80 before pigment.
- Do not mix 6 and 6 on a 2:1 kit.
- Unmixed leftover in bottles is inventory, not this pour’s cost; mixed leftover is waste.
