How Much to Charge for Amigurumi
Yarn on a 5-inch fox is cheap. Safety eyes, stuffing, embroidery of the face and sewing limbs are not. Price the hours of assembly, not the leftover skein.

Price bands that match the work
Keychain-size pieces can work at craft-fair prices. A 14-inch character with clothes is a commission. Mixing those two on one table without two price logics is how makers undercharge the big one.
| Size | Typical retail | Hours (often) | Hidden costs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Keychain / 3–5 in | $15–$28 | 1–3 | Hardware, tiny parts, listing photos |
| Desk pet 6–8 in | $28–$48 | 3–6 | Color changes, face embroidery |
| Medium 10–14 in | $45–$85 | 6–12 | Sewing, stuffing quality |
| Large / clothed / custom character | $85–$200+ | 12–25 | Pattern design, revisions |

Custom character quotes
Fan art and copyrighted characters are a legal problem on marketplaces. Original pets and OC characters are a design fee plus the plush. Charge a sketch/deposit before you hook a custom.
Safety and listings
Safety eyes are not for under-3s. If you sell at fairs, label that. Embroidered eyes take longer — that time belongs in the price, not in a silent upgrade.
