How we calculate crochet prices
- Yarn cost = skeins × cost per skein + scrap buffer
- Materials total = yarn cost + notions (polyfill, safety eyes, tags, buttons)
- Total labor hours = crochet hours + assembly/sewing hours
- Labor cost = total hours × hourly labor rate
- Total cost = materials + labor + studio overhead
- Selling price = total cost ÷ (1 − margin % − fee %)
- Effective hourly pay = (labor cost + net profit) ÷ total hours
