How this calculator works
How we calculate T-shirt quilt pricing
- Quilt area = block count × block area (with 20% sashing/border buffer)
- Stabilizer cost = block count × fusible interfacing cost per block
- Materials = stabilizer + sashing fabric + batting + backing fabric
- Longarm quilting fee = quilt area sq in × longarm rate per sq in
- Labor cost = (prep & stabilizing hours + piecing & sewing hours) × hourly rate
- Total cost = materials + longarm + labor + packaging
- Recommended price = total cost ÷ (1 − margin % − fee %)
- Price per block = recommended price ÷ shirt block count
