How DTG pricing works
Dark garments require pretreatment ($0.50–$1.20) and a white ink underbase pass, making dark prints significantly more expensive to produce than light garments.
Ink cost scales directly with print area (square inches) and resolution. Full-coverage 12×16 prints use far more ink than left-chest logos.
Pretreatment application, drying, printing, and final heat press curing each take minutes of labor that must be factored into the per-shirt quote.
