How we calculate this
- Cost per gram = spool price / spool grams
- Print filament cost = grams used × cost per gram
- With waste = print filament cost × (1 + waste %)

A $25 kilogram spool is $0.025/g. A $29 750 g spool is about $0.039/g. A 120 g part is $3.00 vs about $4.64 before waste.
